Open and closed staircase

Landlord thought this was a feature of his house so didn't think he should do anything about it. The tenants have 2 young children.

After one of the tenants fell down the stairs the council put an improvement notice  on the property.

Improvement made. Tenants happy.

Cut down door

This week I have been asked to provide and fit a door to an under-stairs cupboard to match the pine doors he already has. He had been quoted £400 for a door to be specially made.

I brought a standard pine door the same width as the frame and then cut the top off , moulded the cut panel and put the top rail back on.

Cat flap in uPVC Door

A lady was in quite a flap when she contacted me. She had been phoning around much of my competition asking about fitting a cat flap in her back door. They all came back with various excuses as to why it can't be done as the door has a panel moulding to it.

Just to show it can here is a picture of the cat flap 1hour and £30 after I arrived.

2 great clients

I had 2 great clients today, both I had done jobs for in the past. The first was to replace a toilet seat, she then asked whether I would drop her at the supermarket she ended up paying me £30 extra even though I told her I didn't mind doing it for free. The next client was cleaning her gutters she paid an extra £5 told me she was impressed by the way I worked.
